What is Hospice Care?

Hospice Care Is Not a Place

When people think of hospice care they often think of it as a place, and while the original hospice was a place, the term has come to mean much more. At its heart, it represents a philosophy of holistic, compassionate care provided to anyone facing an end-of-life illness.

Hospice Associates is built on the belief that every person facing a life limiting illness deserves to live a pain free existence while remaining as alert as possible.

The plans we create are designed to serve both the patient and their caregivers by providing the emotional, spiritual, and clinical support that best suits the needs outlined by each patient and their family unit.

Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and Private Insurances, hospice care is provided primarily in the patient’s place of residence, whether it is their home, a nursing facility, or an assisted living environment. In some instances, stays at a community-based inpatient hospice can also be arranged.

Hospice Associates does not discriminate, we accept anyone regardless of age, sex, religion, or ethnicity.
