Dementia Care
We are the future of dementia care for seniors and the families who care for them in the Northshore and Greater New Orleans.
Dementia impacts far more than memory, it completely alters daily routines, safety, healthcare needs, and family dynamics. Our program pairs seniors and caregivers with dedicated care navigators, smart technology, and 24/7 clinical support. Together, this comprehensive approach delivers evidence-based outcomes that surpass the results of Alzheimer’s medications alone (click to see study results).
A More Connected Approach to Dementia Care
Every dementia journey is different. Some families need help understanding what comes next. Others need help coordinating medical care, finding support at home, or updating a care plan. Care Associates brings these senior care services together under one organization, giving families across Greater New Orleans more continuity, support, and peace of mind.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question? Get answers.
Does Care Associates provide care for people with Alzheimer’s disease?
Yes, we provide medical home visits, along with personalized care and support for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Our team helps families manage changing needs, coordinate services, and find support as the condition progresses. Options may include care navigation, adult day care, help arranging in-home assistance, and the Medicare GUIDE program for those who qualify.
Do we have to qualify for the GUIDE Program to receive dementia care from Care Associates?
No. The GUIDE Program is a CMS initiative for beneficiaries with dementia that also meet other specific Medicare eligibility requirements, including not being enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan. If your loved one does not qualify, we can still help your family with our program of clinical supervision and other service options based on your needs.
How do I know what type of dementia care my loved one needs?
We tailor our care and coordination support to your loved one’s health, memory, living situation, and independence, as well as your family’s caregiving capacity. Our team uses specialized assessment tools to benchmark cognitive health, physical performance, and caregiver strain. The results help us identify current needs and connect you with other Care Associates or external services focused on trying to keep your relative living in its private home for as long as possible.
Can Care Associates help my loved one remain at home longer?
Yes, when staying at home is the right fit. Our care navigators can help arrange personal home care with outside providers, respite breaks at our adult day care center, and in-home medical support to help your family build a sustainable care plan. As needs change, we can also help you explore other care options.
Does Care Associates provide support for family caregivers?
Yes. Caregiver support is an important part of dementia care. We rely on assessment tools to identify sources of caregiving fatigue, stress, or strain in your situation and can use the results to offer education, care navigation, and help coordinating services.
What is the GUIDE Dementia Program?
GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) is a Medicare program with specific requirements. For eligible beneficiaries, it provides coordinated care for people living with dementia and additional support for their caregivers. Care Associates is a participating GUIDE provider. Eligibility requirements apply.
